Arrow 4×15, Taken, Clip #1 Released: First Look at Vixen’s Powers!

Random animal noises! Guns! People shooting! The clip for tonights episode of Arrow seems to feature what could be the strangest take on any character Arrow has given us thus far. Not only does the clip seem to suggest Vixen can be in about 30 places at once, but that she’s invisible and channeling about 40 animals at the same time…Also, it seems that Vixen is able to do what no one else in Star City is able to do…realize The Arrow and The Green Arrow are the same person.

VIXEN JOINS TEAM ARROW – Oliver (Stephen Amell) realizes he needs help battling Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) so he calls in an old friend – Vixen (guest star Megalyn E.K.). Using her magical ability to summon animal powers, Vixen gets a lock on Darhk’s location and the team goes to war. Meanwhile, Thea (Willa Holland) has a heart-to-heart talk with Malcolm (John Barrowman). Gregory Smith directed the episode with story by Marc Guggenheim and teleplay by Keto Shimizu & Brian Ford Sullivan (#415). Original airdate 2/24/16.

What are you talking about?? Clearly they are trying to show that Mari has a pretty solid handle on her powers, and that she can move thru different powers fluidly. Everything else in this clip is just standard cliche reveal of how superheroes are depcited on film and tv. IF anything, I would compare this clip to something you would see Batman do than anything, and at least Vixen has the powers to pull those moves off!!

I would agree had they not completely overdone the noises.

The beginning of the clip literally has 6 noises in the span of like 8 seconds…that’s not even possible

Well…..Its good to know you aren’t trying to find a reason to dislike this episode. Even before it airs.

Is it Arrow in general that you don’t like, or just Vixen. I’m not judging you, Lord knows Season 3 of Arrow was almost complete garbage, but I have been really enjoying Season 4.

“Disliking the episode”? It’s a critic on the logic behind their choice to edit sound, not on the episode.

As for Season 4? Eh, some – a solid group of “some” – would disagree with that sentiment. While it’s nowhere near as terrible as Season 3, it’s even further from the bar set by Season 2.

Personally, I thnk having Vixen come to live action is Awesome!! I love how her costume looks, I think the actress looks the part, and I like that she seems to be a badass. Thumbs way up so far, but we will see how the episode goes

Wow.. In my opinion, Season 4 is far better than Season 2 so far. Only Season 1 was more exciting to watch for me than Season 4 so far. Again, my opinion.

Also, not sure why you have to say that “a solid group of some” disagree with me. As though the opinion of the masses is either relevant or important to me or anyone. If people don’t like something, that’s fine. We can disagree over whether we appreciated/enjoyed certain aspects, but you can’t debate quality.

Because some implies less than half, solid group of some is just another way of implying a solid 50:50 ratio.

Also, you can certainly debate quality as quality is subjective person to person. I personally think the storyline his season and it’s quality had been cliched, lackluster, but well executed. And you might think the overall quality is better than I do. So quality, like all else, is subjective.
