Arrow 4×23, Schism, Promo Released: This is a Mercy Killing

Fans who still watch Arrow every Wednesday (or whenever they get the chance too) should know that Arrow’s 19th episode of it’s fourth season introduced  a character by the name of “Evelyn Crawford Sharp” and she was used – in the story – as a somewhat of a “temporary” Black Canary. With the Black Canary mantle seemingly being retired at the end of 4×19 and the appearance of someone in Black Canary-like garb on the set of Arrow’s season finale (confirmed to not be Katie Cassidy) it seems that the character played by actress Madison McLaughlin (Evelyn Sharp) is set to return.

In the comics Evelyn Crawford Sharp is an old friend of Dinah Laurel Lance and goes by the name “Starling”; given the character’s ties on the show to Black Canary (temporarily taking up the mantle) and the fact that she seemed to have a newfound drive to protect the city (that was previously called Starling), it seems that Sharp’s adoption of the “Starling” mantle is all but inevitable.

OLIVER TEAMS UP WITH A SURPRISING FORCE TO STOP DAMIEN DARHK – Oliver (Stephen Amell) teams up with a surprising force in an attempt to stop Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) and his magic once and for all. John Behring directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti and teleplay by Wendy Mericle and Marc Guggenheim
