The Black Flash (and Teddy Sears?) Might Appear Again on The Flash? Soon?

Entertainment Weekly‘s ‘Spoiler Room’ typically has spectacularly interesting tidbits about what to expect in the future for The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow and other shows, and it seems this week is no different. According to the EW Spoiler Room, Flash EP Andrew Kreisberg has revealed that The Flash’s Season 2 finale had a very purposeful, open ended, conclusion for Teddy Sears’ Zoom as they’d love for both the character and actor to appear again down the line.

Are we going to see Black Flash on The Flash in season 3? — Peter

Potentially. “Obviously we did that on purpose,” EP Andrew Kreisberg says. “We love working with Teddy [Sears]. He’s such an amazing actor and amazing person, and was so much a part of the success of this show last season. There aren’t any immediate plans for that, but you can’t keep a good Black Flash down, so I’m sure we’ll be seeing him in the future.”

It’s interesting that Kreisberg comments not only on the fact that the Black Flash, but also Teddy Sears, will hopefully be returning. The finale to The Flash’s second season seemed to use CGI to showcase Sears’ decayed and dead face as The Black Flash, and actor Tony Todd provided the voice for Zoom, so technically it’s entirely possible for The Black Flash to reappear even if Sears’ schedule is otherwise booked.

Black Flash should be voiced by Tony Todd – please keep Sears as far away as possible
